Sodium Carbomer. PNC 410 by 3V Sigma is pre-neutralized polymer that can be used as thickener, stabilizer and suspending agent. Benefits and features: quick dispersion, no neutralizing phase, constant pH during the production process. Dispersions characterized by low viscosity and suspending ability higher than other carbomers. Polymer of choice for the stabilization of fluid emulsions and suspensions. PNC 410 can be used in ionic solutions and in surfactant systems. Disperse in water or in water/alcohol blend to obtain clear gels. To obtain emulsions, can be dispersed in the oil or in the water phase or directly in the emulsion. The addition of a water-soluble UV-absorber can help for preventing polymer degradation. pH achieved at 0.5% in water is around 7. If lower pH is required, little adjustments are possible by addition of acids but if a strong reduction of pH is needed, blend it with Syntalen L without any neutralization.
