Cosmetics & Personal Care Formulations with Waterproofing Agents

Avalure™ UR and AC Polymers impart excellent water resistance to personal care formulations such as mascara, liquid foundation and sunscreen. Test results indicate that Avalure™ UR 450 Polymer, when incorporated into the following mascara formula, creates the most effective film that keeps the mascara on the eyelashes after they are immersed in water for an extended period of time.

This sunscreen lotion provides long-lasting UV protection. Both Avalure™* UR 450 Polymer and Pemulen®* TR-2 Polymer deliver optimal water-resistant properties.Avobenzone, an UVA absorber, is included in this formulation. Schercemol™* 1688 Ester mitigates the oily feel of the various UV absorbers, while SilSense™* Copolyol-1 Silicone, a water soluble silicone, improves skin feel and detackifies the formulation. Carbopol®* Ultrez 21 Polymer delivers easy, efficient thickening and emulsion stabilization with a smooth, non-tacky afterfeel. Promulgen™* D Emulsifier, a highly cost effective non-ionic emulsifier, acts as an emulsion stabilizer and viscosity builder.

This elegant W/O liquid foundation features Kobo's Perfluorooctylethyl Triethoxysilane Treatment. The FS-Treated Pigments show both water and oil repellency. This helps to achieve long lasting make-up resilient to perspiration and sebum. SF1202 gives playtime during application.

This formulation has a very low viscosity and excellent spray aesthetics, DERMACRYL® AQF polymer film former offers water resistant and rub resistant; meanwhile, it is also very easy to use in the formulation. Spray formulation with DERMACRYL AQF polymer possesses tiny and uniform spray effect.

This sunscreen emulsion spray contains DERMACRYL® AQF polymer film forming polymer. DERMACRYL AQF film forming polymer provides water and rub-off resistance to this formulation. The resulting product has excellent spray aesthetics and uniform coverage.

TAPIOCA PURE starch provides a soft cushion-like feeling on skin. The DRY-FLO® PURE starch adds water resistance and silkiness to the powder.

This elegant formula incorporates Isododecane; Ethylene/Propylene/Styrene Copolymer; Butylene/Ethylene/Styrene Copolymer for improved applicability and smoothness. Its anhydrous composition provides water-resistant characteristics.

DERMACRYL® 79 polymer provides very water resistant properties to this aerosol sunscreen. The aerosol spray form provides easy application of a very water resistant sun protection product for use at the beach or pool.
