Vytrus Achieves EcoVadis Platinum Medal for its Sustainability Efforts

Vytrus achieved an EcoVadis score of 80 out of 100, which recognizes Vytrus with the Platinum Medal status. It places the biotech company in the top 1% of companies worldwide, for its dedication to sustainability and corporate social responsibility

In its fourth year of evaluation by the EcoVadis sustainability platform, Vytrus has reached the pinnacle of recognition with the Platinum Medal. Its journey began in 2020, during the height of the pandemic, when it was first evaluated and awarded the Silver Medal for the good practices in sustainability. This year, Vytrus has surpassed its previous accomplishments, solidifying its position as a leader in sustainable practices.

The EcoVadis Method

EcoVadis, one of the leading universal providers of sustainability ratings, evaluates the sustainability practices of over 75,000 companies in more than 160 countries. It offers a comprehensive set of performance improvement tools, indicators, certificates, and awards, including the esteemed EcoVadis medals, to enhance the environmental and social impact of companies worldwide.

The EcoVadis evaluation methodology covers seven management indicators based on 21 sustainability criteria, focusing on four key areas: environment, labor and human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement. This methodology is rooted in major sustainability standards, such as the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), the UN Global Compact, and ISO 26000, and is supervised by an international scientific committee. Performance is rated through a detailed assessment of a company's policies, actions, and results, supplemented by input from third-party professionals and external stakeholders.
