IQL unveils new EUDR-free emulsifier for makeup products and sunscreens

Last update on Mar 17, 2026

IQL unveils new EUDR-free Soldoc PG 418 S (Polyglyceryl-4 Diisostearate/Polyhydroxystearate/Sebacate), a high-performance emulsifier widely used in cosmetic formulations.

It is particularly valuable because of its excellent emulsifying power. It stabilizes complex water-in-oil (W/O) emulsions by maintaining a uniform dispersion, preventing separation over time. This strong stabilizing capacity allows formulators to work with high levels of internal phase, pigments, or mineral filters while still achieving a consistent and homogeneous product.

It is suitable for low viscosity W/O formulations

Soldoc PG 418 S is suitable for low viscosity W/O formulations. It is commonly used in makeup products and sunscreens, where stability and even distribution are essential. It helps disperse pigments and mineral UV filters evenly in cooperation with Soldoc PG 336 (Diisostearoyl Polyglyceryl-3 Dimer Dilinoleate), improving coverage, water resistance, pay off, texture, and overall product durability on the skin.

In addition to its technical performance, it also contributes to the sensorial quality of the formula, creating silky textures that spread easily and leave a comfortable, lightweight finish.

Soldoc PG 418 S stands out as a reliable and highly efficient emulsifier, helping formulators develop stable, high-quality cosmetic products.
