Groupe Berkem merges with Biopress, a producer of 100% natural & organic vegetable oils

Based in Tonneins, Biopress produces vegetable oils extracted from organic oilseeds and textured soy proteins. Biopress uses raw materials from local farms that are part of short supply chains. With properties similar to petroleum derivatives, yet renewable and biodegradable, vegetable oils can be used in a wide range of applications in various fields such as cosmetics, coatings and inks, and lubricants.

Processes for transforming soya beans, such as extrusion and crushing, enable Groupe Berkem to strengthen its offering for the 'Health, Beauty & Nutrition' and 'Industry' business areas, and present opportunities in new markets, such as the agri-food and nutraceutical sectors.
