Expanding its presence in a fast-growing region in Southeast Asia
As part of Givaudan’s continued investment in Southeast Asia, one of the world’s fastest-growing fragrance markets, ‘10 Capital’ reflects the Company’s ambition to deepen its partnership with customers in the region by combining creativity, technical expertise, and market understanding.
The center hosts a dedicated team including perfumers, creative assistants, and an application lab, all operating across categories and connected to Givaudan’s global network of fine fragrance and consumer products experts. Complementing ‘10 Capital’, The Foundry – a collaborative environment dedicated to fine fragrance – fosters direct engagement between perfumers, specialists, and customers. With its distinctive circular workspace and ingredients wall, The Foundry provides a sensory playground where creativity and craftsmanship converge.
“This investment reinforces our commitment to co-creation and agility for our consumer products business. By situating our teams closer to our customers, we can rapidly transform ideas into market-ready solutions that celebrate the vibrancy and diversity of the Indonesian and Southeast Asian fragrance landscape,” said Felix Mayr-Harting, global head of consumer products.
“’10 Capital’ marks a new chapter in our regional presence, reflecting our belief in the extraordinary creativity emerging from Southeast Asia. It reflects our strategy to invest in innovation and collaboration, shaping the future of fine fragrance in this inspiring region. By combining local insights with Givaudan’s global artistry, we are empowering a new generation of brands to translate their unique identity into signature scents that resonate deeply with consumers,” said Xavier Renard, global head of fine fragrance.
During the press event, Givaudan invited a select group of media and influencers to a unique behind-the-scenes immersion, presenting the meticulous artistry and pioneering spirit that define perfume creation, an experience rarely accessible to the public.
Attendees experienced Givaudan’s fragrance expertise and its commitment to innovation through a live introduction of www.givaudanperfume.id, Indonesia’s one of the first dedicated digital platform for scent creation and inspiration, launched in 2024. Then, they participated to a roundtable discussion on global trends and insights shaping the future of perfumes, with experts such as Arnaud Guggenbuhl, global head of marketing, insight & image, and Naila Hamayed, global creative vision leader, fine fragrance, gaining a deeper understanding of how fragrances are envisioned, developed, and brought to market.
“As an Indonesian perfumer, I’m proud to see how rapidly the fragrance industry has grown here. This new creative centre allows us to collaborate more intimately and support our local customers throughout the entire fragrance development process,” said Karina Mandala, perfumer at Givaudan.
Givaudan’s ‘10 Capital’ sets a new standard for fragrance development and marks an important milestone in strengthening the Company’s local presence and its ability to serve customers in Indonesia and across the whole region.
