Givaudan, the global player in Fragrance and Beauty, announces the expansion of its fragrance precursor collection. A precursor diffuses fragrant molecules slowly when triggered by natural factors like oxygen or humidity of air, extending scent notes over days. With the launch of Scentaurus™ PolyDoux, Givaudan is opening the Scentaurus™ palette to fruity gourmand notes and unlocking new creative possibilities for personal care applications like shampoos.

Enables tailor-made signatures that maximize long-lastingness
Scentaurus™ PolyDoux is based on an oxygen-activated innovation releasing fruity raspberry and soft powdery vanilla notes, meeting the growing demand for long-lasting and comforting scents in laundry and hair care products. By catering to the needs of modern lifestyles, activewear and sportswear fabrics, this new technology delivers brightness and softness that endure through today’s fast-paced routines and frequent washes. For even greater creative versatility, it can be blended with other precursors from the Givaudan exclusive collection.

In line with Givaudan’s sustainability ambitions, Scentaurus™ PolyDoux is a biodegradable molecule according to OECD guidelines, developed via principles of green chemistry, using Givaudan’s proprietary FiveCarbon Path™, and a Safe-by-Design approach.
