ECKART to unveil two new effect pigments & trend concepts at in-cosmetics Global

ECKART, a Germany-based producer of effect pigments and functional fillers, will present its latest innovations at in-cosmetics Global, Paris, 14–16 April 2026, the exhibition for personal care ingredients.
It will introduce two distinctly different effect pigment launches and reveal the new Trend Colors Autumn-Winter 2027–2028 concepts created to inspire formulators with forward-looking shades, textures, and sensorial experiences.

New effect pigments
SYNCRYSTAL® Mystic Indigo - High chroma performance with enhanced stability
ECKART will unveil SYNCRYSTAL® Mystic Indigo, a highly chromatic blue effect pigment with a distinct violet undertone, designed for bold and sophisticated color statements in make-up. Built using ECKART’s patented, latest-generation technologies, this pigment is engineered for exceptional stability under challenging conditions–addressing common limitations of traditional blue pigments that may fade under UV exposure or show instability across different formulations.
In addition to its strong chromaticity, the pigment has been developed with a composition intended to support broad global usability across application areas, including lip products–an important advantage, as not all blue pigments are suitable for lip applications in every region. This enables formulators to create purple and violet lip shades more easily and with greater confidence.
The pigment is based on Synthetic Fluorphlogopite, aligning with current consumer expectations for high purity and low heavy metal content. With its intense color impact, the pigment is particularly suited for color cosmetics such as eye, face, and lip make-up–where it can unlock a wide spectrum of blue-to-violet shades.
Ideal for: Eye shadows, liners, mascaras, lipsticks, lip glosses, pressed powders, and creative color collections.
SYNCRYSTAL® Orange - Warm radiance for a wide range of skin tones
ECKART’s second launch, SYNCRYSTAL® Orange, features an intense orange interference pigment that delivers immediate radiance and glow upon application. The optical effect is designed to be flattering across a wide range of skin tones, enhancing complexion products and hybrid skincare - make-up formats with vibrant luminosity.
Because orange tones visually counteract blue, the pigment can also contribute to the neutralization of blue, green, and purple undertones–supporting a visibly refined and skin-perfecting result. This pigment is also based on Synthetic Fluorphlogopite, supporting the industry’s direction toward high-purity ingredient choices.
Ideal for: Foundations, BB/CC/DD creams, day creams and serums, tone-up and color-correcting products, highlighters, body sprays, and body oils–wherever instant illumination and a refined-looking skin finish are desired.

In the show’s Make-up Bar area, ECKART will celebrate its two decades of trend color expertise with a special anniversary concept titled “Reinventing Color for Tomorrow.”
For 20 years, ECKART’s Trend Colors have anticipated shades and effects that influence the future of beauty. This anniversary showcase revisits iconic formulations from past Trend Colors collections and reimagines them using today’s advanced effect pigments and modern formulation approaches.
The concept spotlights four signature products, each updated to reflect today’s expectations for cleaner formulation choices, improved sensoriality, reduced formulation complexity, and future-ready performance, while preserving the original visual identity.
From a compact eye shadow inspired by ECKART’s earliest trend collection, to a silicone-free creamy metallic eye shadow, an adaptive lipstick enhanced by next-generation pearl pigments, and a refreshed lip glaze featuring new interference effects, the showcase demonstrates how innovation can transform proven ideas into modern, scalable solutions.
