Controlled peptide release for up to 15 days

Since first being introduced in the 1990s, Matrixyl has become one of the trusted references in advanced skin care, supporting firmer, healthier looking skin. With Matrixyl® Neolide™, Croda builds on this legacy by introducing a new patented encapsulation technology designed to protect the peptide within cosmetic formulations, and release it gradually once applied to the skin.

This delivery approach helps ensure consistent, long-lasting performance, with controlled peptide release for up to 15 days. By improving stability and predictability, this ingredient enables customers to create more robust products, accelerating development timelines and supporting commercial scale up.

Sandra Breene, president of Consumer Care said, "Matrixyl has played a defining role in modern skin care, and Matrixyl® Neolide™ represents a natural next step in its evolution. This innovation reflects how we are investing in technologies that not only enhance performance but also strengthen our growth platform in Consumer Care by helping customers succeed in fast moving, premium segments."

Delivers visible skin firming benefits in as little as two weeks

Clinical data shows that Matrixyl® Neolide™ delivers visible skin firming benefits in as little as two weeks, with a 25% improvement observed during testing. The controlled release technology helps reduce formulation complexity, supporting efficiency, repeatability and reliability at scale.

Matrixyl® Neolide™ also aligns with evolving skin care routines and professional protocols. It has demonstrated strong compatibility with microneedling, supporting skin recovery and driving a 31% increase in collagen III production when used alongside the procedure, compared with microneedling alone.

Helen Jeremiah, vice president Marketing, Consumer Care at Croda said, "Growth in beauty increasingly comes from solutions that are both science led and consumer relevant. Matrixyl Neolide brings together a globally recognised ingredient name with smarter delivery and faster visible results, providing our customers with a compelling product to take to market."

Supporting sustainable, long-term growth

Matrixyl® Neolide™ reflects Croda's broader commitment to responsible development as a driver of long-term value. The ingredient is 99.79% natural origin (ISO 16128), vegan suitable, TFA-free¹, and RSPO²-compliant, and delivers a 43% lower carbon footprint compared to the original Matrixyl. By combining performance, sustainability and commercial applicability, Matrixyl® Neolide™ strengthens Croda's peptide portfolio and supports continued growth in the Consumer Care sector, particularly in skin care and advanced treatment-led routines.
