Last update on Sep 12, 2025

Polyglyceryl-10 Diisostearate is a PEG-free emulsifier widely used in cosmetics and personal care products to stabilize oil-in-water or water-in-oil formulations. It ensures that products like creams, lotions, and balms have a smooth consistency and good spreadability. It reduces greasiness in formulations while also providing light moisturization to the skin. What is POLYGLYCERYL-10 DIISOSTEARATE used for?

Polyglyceryl-10 Diisostearate is a versatile ingredient used in cosmetics and personal care products where gentle yet effective performance is key.

In skin care: Polyglyceryl-10 Diisostearate maintains a smooth texture in skin care products and enhances their spreadability for even application. Origin

Polyglyceryl-10 Diisostearate is made by the esterification reaction between Polyglyceryl-10 (obtained from glycerin) and Isostearic Acid (derived from vegetable oils). This results in a pale yellow to amber colored viscous paste - Polyglyceryl-10 Diisostearate. Depending on the manufacturing, this ingredient may also be in the form of a soft, waxy solid. It has a mild fatty odor and a smooth oily texture. The chemical formula of Polyglyceryl-10 Diisostearate is C39H80O7.
