OLIGOPEPTIDE-1

Last update on Mar 11, 2023
Oligopeptide-1 is a recombinant form of the naturally-occurring polypeptide with potential epithelial regenerative and cytoprotective activities. It works as a skin-conditioning agent. It is composed of three amino acids, which are glycine, histidine and lysine. It may be decomposed by enzymes via microorganisms and loses its activity, so it is extremely important to avoid microbial contamination during processing of products containing Oligopeptide-1.

by TidetronBio

INCI: OLIGOPEPTIDE-1 | TRIPEPTIDE-1
  • Sustainable option

What is OLIGOPEPTIDE-1 used for?

Oligopeptide-1 works as a skin-conditioning agent. It proactively promotes the growth of epidermal cells. It also slows down the thinning of aging skin. It is very sensitive to pH of cream. Prior to adding diluted EGF solution to cream, the pH value of cream should be adjusted to 5-8.
  • Skin care: Within the first month of its use, clinical assessments revealed statistically significant improvement in the appearance of fine lines, skin texture, pore size, and various dyschromatic conditions. It nourishes, smoothes, lightens and rejuvenates tired skin, and also helps in removal of scars

Origin

Oligopeptide-1 is produced via biotechnology by fermentation in the microorganism, E. coli. It is then purified using proprietary chromatographic techniques to obtain nearly 95% pure substance.

What does OLIGOPEPTIDE-1 do in a formulation?
