CAPRYLYL METHICONE

Caprylyl methicone conditions the skin and provides a permeable barrier that helps prevent moisture loss. It is compatible both with other silicones and with natural plant oils, thus can be used to formulate products with vegetable oils to provide non-greasy and non-tacky feel. It works as a co-solubilizer between silicone and organic oils, and helps carry and disperse the vitamins, pigments, hydrophobic powders and other ingredients contained in a cosmetic solution.

• Skin care: It is used in moisturizer, anti-aging creams, facial powder, sunscreen, face moisturizer, mask, body oil, baby sunscreen, eye makeup remover, facial cleanser, body firming lotion, hand cream to provide light, velvety feel and hydration. It is used as a pigment dispersing agent, to reduce tackiness and enhance spreadability in make-up formulations such as foundation, concealer, lipstick, CC cream, blush etc.
• Hair care: It is used in hair care products such as hair serum, shampoo, conditioner, depilatory, hair spray, hair styling products. It provides conditioning properties
