Skin care: Foaming Face Wash (McIntyre Group)

1. Blend together, with smooth agitation, the first five ingredients. Mix until uniform and clear. 2. Add the remaining ingredients. Note that certain acid crystals may not be soluble at room temperature in water. 3. Adjust the pH to 3.0 to 3.5 using citric acid (or AHA/BHA). Check the viscosity and adjust upward using incremental amounts of sodium chloride. The Cocamidopropyl Hydroxysultaine can also be used to increase viscosity. To adjust the viscosity down, use glycerin or propylene glycol. Lower levels of CBS 50G can also be used to avoid a gel.
