The fundamental role of sustainability is extremely important to the future of our planet and without major behaviour changes it will suffer a massive degradation soon. How we live our daily lives impacts all aspects of the planet’s health, and the coatings and resins industry is no different. Similarly, the same concept of behavioral change must be applied. As a leading supplier of resins and additives to the coatings industry, allnex is conscious of playing a key role in addressing how we can help promote sustainable products and processes in the industry. 

 

Specifically, we will present our view on the role of sustainability at the macro trend level and how this is playing through to trends in the powder coatings market. We will share some of our technologies which are designed with sustainability in mind, to help with the decarbonization of resins and contribute to energy efficient powder coating application.

Global Marketing Director for the allnex Powder Coatings Resins (PCR) Business Robert is responsible for the PCR innovation pipeline, new business development and also contributes to longer term strategy development for the PCR business. He has been in the marketing function since 2016, prior to which he was the EMEA R&D Manager and Business Team Leader for the former Nuplex Powder Coating Resins business, based in London, UK. In these roles, he was responsible for innovation and product portfolio development, as well as new business development and customer technical support. He has a PhD in Polymer Science from the University of Manchester Institute of Science & Technology (UMIST), UK.

Dr Robertino Chinellato

Global R&D Director

Global R&D Director for the allnex Powder Coatings Resins (PCR) Business. Robertino is responsible for Research and development and for the technical service of the PCR business. He has been in this function since 2010, prior to which he was the global technical service and development Manager for the Powder Coating Resins business. Robertino is based in Romano d’Ezzelino Italy allnex site. He has a master’s degree in industrial chemistry from the University of Venice Italy.
