ETERNACOLL® UM90(1/3)

ETERNACOLL® UM90(1/3) by UBE is a solvent-free cyclic aliphatic copolycarbonate diol. Polyurethanes produced from this grade are superior to those based on polyether diol as well as polyester diol and provides high thermal stability, hardness, high chemical resistance as well as high mechanical properties. Also provides enhanced hydrolysis resistance, higher gloss, improved scratch as well as abrasion resistance, better adhesion to metal even after weathering and better corrosion resistance by replacing the blend of a classical polyol by this polycarbonate diol in metal coatings. ETERNACOLL® UM90(1/3) is used for wood and leather coatings which further contributes to provide better stain resistance as well as enhanced performance for outdoors application, such as furniture. Also used for flooring, pavements applications.

ETERNACOLL® PH200D

ETERNACOLL® PH200D by UBE is a solvent-free, liquid copolycarbonate diol. Provides enhanced hydrolysis resistance, higher gloss, improved scratch and abrasion resistance. Offers better adhesion to metal even after weathering and better corrosion resistance by replacing the blend of a classical polyol by this polycarbonate diol in metal coatings. Used for wood and leather coatings which further contributes to provide better stain resistance as well as enhanced performance for outdoors furniture, flooring and pavements coatings. Polyurethanes produced from ETERNACOLL® PH200D are superior to those based on polyether diol as well as polyester diol and provides flexibility, softness, high chemical resistance and high mechanical properties.

DAXSOL® Dimethyl carbonate

DAXSOL® Dimethyl carbonate by UBE is a clear, colorless, environmentally friendly green solvent synthesized from carbon monoxide. It is VOC-free with mild & non-offensive odor, low toxicity, rapid biodegradability and low bioaccumulation. It is suitable for directly replacing polar non-sustainable solvents, such as ketones, esters, glycols, toluene, xylene, methyl ethyl ketone and n-butyl acetate. It is used as raw material for several methylation, carboxylation and carbomethoxylation processes, including pharmaceutical synthesis.<br> <ul style="padding-left: 40px;"><li>It shows fast-evaporating rate, miscibility with most of organic solvents, partial solubility in water, and similar melting & boiling points to water.</li> <li>It is non-mutagenic, non-HAPs and has low MIR values.</li> <li>It is also used as an electrolyte in lithium-ion batteries (LIB) in notebook PCs and cell phones, hybrid electric vehicles (HEVs) and plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs).</li> <li>DAXSOL® Dimethyl carbonate is designed to prepare coatings.</li> <li>It is recommended by CHEM21.</li></ul>
