Crystal™ EX by PQ Corporation is a zero VOC, odorless, water-based silicic acid formulated with inorganic sodium compound. It is used as a co-binder to maximize the polymerization performance and partially replacing latex emulsions/resins such as vinyl acrylic and styrene acrylic (10% up to 30%). It helps to build formulation viscosity and reduces thickener demand. Provides improved scrub resistance & leveling and reduced in-can corrosion. Crystal™ EX offers cost saving formula in architectural coatings. Crystal™ SB by PQ Corporation acts as a pH-stabilizing agent based on formulated soluble silicate. It helps in maintaining and improving paint properties. Offers effective pH control, lower dispersant demand and excellent dispersion stability of system. It can also be used as a co-dispersant. It is cost effective than traditional amines. It helps to build formulation viscosity and reduces thickener demand & in-can corrosion. Crystal™ SB improves leveling and scrub resistance. It is recommended for high performance in architectural coatings.
