Preventol® A 14-D by LANXESS is a dry film preservative based on diuron, carbendazim and octylisothiazolinones. This water-based dispersion exhibits broad-spectrum activity against algae and fungi which can destroy surface coatings. It possesses good flow and handling properties. It has low degree of water solubility, therefore offering good leaching resistance and long service time. It is compatible with high-density polyethylene (HDPE). Preventol® A 14-D is suitable for paints and coatings used for architectural products, finishes and special purpose coatings. Recommended dosage level is 0.15-2%. The shelf life is 12 months.

Preventol® D 7 LT by LANXESS is a versatile, easy to use, low viscosity, in-can preservative based on monovalently stabilized isothiazolinones. It offers broad spectrum of activity against bacteria, including formaldehyde-resistant species, fungi, yeast & algae. This additive possesses good compatibility. It is used for the preservation of aqueous coatings. It is stable over pH range of 2.5-9.0. Preventol® D 7 LT has a shelf life of 1 year.

Preventol® M 78-D by LANXESS is a dry film preservative based on carbendazim (BCM) and 3-iodo-2-propynyl butyl carbamate (IPBC). It offers fungal protection in paints, wood stains as well as masonry-, roof- and paper coatings. It is also used in inks. It is solvent-, VOC- & formaldehyde-free. It can be easily incorporated into most of the finished products. It ensures long-term protection in formulations. Preventol® MP 400-D by LANXESS is a VOC-free, dry film preservative based on 3-iodo-2-propynyl butylcarbamate (IPBC). It offers fungal protection in inks, paints, wood stains as well as paper-, plastic- and textile coatings. It is compatible with high-density polyethylene (HDPE). Recommended dosage level for dry film paints & coatings is 0.25-1.25%, for plastic coatings is 0.125-2.5%, for paper coatings is 0.05-1.88% and for textile coatings & inks is 0.125-1.25%. The shelf life of Preventol® MP 400-D is 12 months.

Preventol® DBC by LANXESS is a universal, in-can preservative. It is a light-colored, aqueous dispersion of the biocidal active ingredients dibromodicyanobutane (DBDCB) and two isothiazolinones, BIT and CMIT/MIT [3:1]. It offers broad spectrum of activity against bacteria, mold, fungi and yeasts. It provides alkaline stability up to pH 9 & thermal stability up to 55°C. It is formaldehyde-free grade. It contains no organic solvents or VOCs. Therefore, this preservative is particularly suited to applications in which products with a low or zero VOC content are to be protected, e.g. low-emission interior paints. The optimized ratio allows to use this combination for products in accordance to ecolabel for paints and varnishes. It is used in aqueous coatings. The shelf life of Preventol® DBC is 1 year.

Preventol® D 2 by LANXESS is an easy to handle, low-viscosity, in-can preservative based on benzyloxymethanol. It is suitable for aqueous coatings. It offers broad spectrum of activity at low concentrations and therefore particularly economical. It displays rapid onset of activity and provides good curative efficacy profile. It is free of organically bound chlorine and therefore has no effect on AOX value. Preventol® D 2 offers broad spectrum of activity against bacteria, mold fungi and yeasts. The shelf life of this product is 2 years.

Preventol® BIT IT by LANXESS is formaldehyde-free, in-can preservative based on benzisothiazolinone and monovalent-stabilized isothiazolinones. It is used for the preservation of aqueous coatings. It is developed to enable H317 free preservation as an alternative to MIT based preservatives. The optimized ratio allows using this combination for products in accordance to Ecolabel and Blue Angel. Preventol® BIT IT offers broad spectrum of activity against bacteria, mold fungi and yeasts. It shows alkaline stability up to pH 10 and thermal stability up to 60°C. It contains no organic solvents and does not add to the VOC content of the products it protects. It is suitable for low emission interior paints. The shelf life of this product is one year.

Preventol® P 91 MV by LANXESS is VOC-, solvent-free, in-can preservative based on bronopol/isothiazolinones. It is used in the preservation of aqueous paints & coatings. It offers broad and balanced spectrum of activity against bacteria, mold fungi and yeast. It is distinguished by a relatively rapid onset of action. Therefore, microbial growth and release of enzymes is effectively inhibited in paints. The shelf life of Preventol® P 91 MV is 2 years.

Preventol® BIT 20 D by LANXESS is formaldehyde- & halogen-free, in-can preservative based on benzisothiazolinone. It is used for the preservation of aqueous coatings. It is a water-based, solvent- and VOC-free dispersion, it is further supported by the approval of BIT up to a dosage of 200 ppm (=0.10%) according to German Blue Angel (RAL-UZ 102). It offers broad spectrum of activity against bacteria, mold fungi and yeasts. Preventol® BIT 20 D provides high alkaline stability, can even be used at very high pH values (>10). Also, displays outstanding thermal stability combined with low volatility. It is free of organic solvent and is suitable for low-emission paints for interior applications. This additive possesses good thermal and chemical stability. The shelf life of this product is two years.
