Phosflex® 71B by ICL is a mixture of butylated (primarily monotbutylphenyl) triphenyl phosphate ester made from readily available synthetic feedstock. It is an effective flame-retardant plasticizer. Exhibits high thermal stability and improved melt flow characteristics. Shows good compatibility in PVC and other plastics such as modified PPO and PC/ABS alloys. Phosflex® 71B is also suitable for paint and coating intumescent and non-intumescent epoxy systems. It provides improved flame retardancy to non-intumescent system combined with brominated flame retardants. For intumescent systems, addition of Phosflex® 71B as plasticizer modifies the initial liquid/viscous matrix and the resulting char. Phosflex® 362 by ICL is a flame retardant and highly efficient plasticizer based on 2-ethylhexyl diphenyl phosphate ester. It exhibits very good low temperature flexibility and excellent solvating properties for fast fusion. It can deliver low smoke properties and effective levels of flame retardancy in flexible vinyl and vinyl alloys (PVC/nitrile rubber), calendared sheet goods and outdoor PVC applications. It exhibits high compatibility in a variety of paint and coating resins (PU & acrylic). Phosflex® 362 is recommended for paint & coating applications including solvent-based and 100% solid systems. It has the advantage of FDA approvals for certain food packaging applications. Phosflex® 390 by ICL is isodecyl diphenyl phosphate made from synthetic feedstock. It is a highly efficient plasticizer for PVC with very good low temperature flexibility and excellent solvating properties for fast fusion. It has an ability to reduce flammability while also reducing smoke. Phosflex® 390 can also be added to various paint systems. It is suitable for water-based, 100% solids and solvent-based coatings. Phosflex® T-BEP by ICL is a flame retardant plasticizer. Can also acts as a leveling agent in latex paints. Possesses low viscosity. Phosflex® T-BEP is used in emulsions of floor finishes.
