PRIMAL™ SB-300 by Dow Chemical is an acrylic polymer. The performance properties including exceptional cold and wet flex resistance, low surface tack, superb plate release, resistance to heat-age yellowing, and good print retention. In addition, basecoats based on this binder are extremely resistant to cut-through when embossed at high temperature and pressure. PRIMAL™ SB-300 by Dow Chemical is used for aqueous basecoats for automotive, furniture, split and shoe upper leather. 100% acrylic dispersion supplied at 50% solids. Designed for high performance semi-gloss paints for interior and exterior applications. Suitable binder for formulating floor paints, tennis court paints, concrete and fiber cement roof tile paints and other coatings where good exterior durability is needed. PRIMAL™ AC-2508E by Dow is an acrylic binder. Offers harder polymer composition for a bit better resistance to dirt pickup and blocking. Provides more robust wet adhesion, less drop-off in adhesion when formulated with polyacid dispersants and anionic rheology modifiers. Offers high brush load, non-drip rheology, high film build, very good sag resistance, good flow and levelling. PRIMAL™ AC-2508E is used in for exterior semi-gloss house and trim paints. PRIMAL™ FGR by Dow Chemical is a water-soluble acrylic polymer emulsion. Provides very good penetration characteristics on full-grain leathers. It is intended as an impregnation resin to improve the break of soft, full-grain leathers. PRIMAL™ FGR by Dow Chemical will improve grain fill without over stiffening the leather, and it can be used in conjunction with all types of penetrators. It is useful as a tack-free penetrating component in basecoat formulations. PRIMAL™ SF-021 by Dow is a unique, ambient curing, acrylic polymer for the formulation of block resistant high gloss paints, formulated without coalescent. In addition to its self crosslinking properties, PRIMAL™ SF-021 has functionality to react with titanium chelate, resulting in a slightly thixotropic rheology, for optimum application properties, such as flow/sag balance and high brush load without dripping. Compared to conventionally coalesced polymers, it offers faster development of hardness and early block resistance. It is a solvent free, combined with unique block resistance and gloss potential. Exhibits excellent application properties, better stain removal properties than conventional solvent free binders, very good adhesion properties and good exterior durability. PRIMAL™ WL-100 by Dow is an acrylic-styrene copolymer designed for high-gloss, waterborne metal coatings and general industrial finishes where an attractive appearance and corrosion protection are important considerations. Applications include transportation vehicles (rail car, truck chassis), various factory-applied items (boxes, tools), structural steel, wood and various plastic substrates. PRIMAL™ WL-100 exhibits very high gloss, wide formulation latitude and favorable formulation cost/performance balance. Offers good corrosion control, film hardness, excellent adhesion to blasted hot-rolled and cold-rolled steels. Economic all acrylic resin with excellent appearance, good chemical resistance and good block to maximize coating application line speeds. Suitable for
clear and pigmented coating systems for primer and topcoat formulations. High performance semi-gloss acrylic binder. Used for interior wall paints and in high durable wood exterior coatings.
