Bayhydrol® A 2139/2 by Covestro is an aqueous, fatty acid-modified, hydroxyfunctional polyester-polyacrylate. Possesses good adhesion and high body. Exhibits good pigment wetting properties and high shear stability. Bayhydrol® A 2139/2 is used in the formulation of two-component polyurethane topcoats. Primary self-crosslinking acrylic dispersion. It has good chemical resistance, long pot life, hand mixability and is fast drying. The neutral agent for product is NH3. It is used in 1K and 2K coatings and wood coatings. Secondary polyacrylic dispersion. It exhibits low VOC, high gloss, good chemical and weather resistance and low thermo-yellowing. The neutral agent for product is dimethyl ethanol amine (DEMA). It is used in solvent-borne, high solids, very high solids and waterborne coatings. It is used for coating large vehicles such as trains, trucks, airplane etc., and in metal, plastic, automotive and industrial coatings. Bayhydrol® UH 2864 by Covestro is an anionic aliphatic polyurethane dispersion. It is designed for the formulation of waterproofing membrane coatings and elastomeric construction coatings in terms of its high elongation, strong tensile strength, low water absorption and good weathering stability. Bayhydrol® UH 2864 has a shelf life of six months. Aliphatic, anionic/non-ionic polyester-polyurethane dispersion. Used as a shear-stable combination binder in the formulation of flexible two- component polyurethane top coats e.g. soft-feel systems. Yields films with pleasant handle, good resistance to abrasion and water. Aqueous hydroxyfunctional polyacrylic dispersion. Used for the formulation of waterborne two-component clearcoats and topcoats for automotive OEM coatings and coatings for plastics. Exhibits very good UV stability. Provides very good resistance to solvents and water. Imparts good pigment wetting properties and high shear stability. Aliphatic polyurethane resin dispersion. Used as a binder for waterborne air- and oven-drying basecoats in two-layer systems for automotive coatings, coatings for plastics, automotive refinishing coatings and industrial coatings. Exhibits very good metallic effect. Offers very good gloss and good water resistance. Bayhydrol® A 242 by Covestro is a water-thinnable polyacrylic resin containing hydroxyl groups. Used in the formulation of aqueous two-component polyurethane systems for various applications by brush, roller or spray. Aliphatic polyurethane resin dispersion. Used as a binder for water-reducible basecoats for two-coat automotive coatings, coatings for plastics, automotive refinish coatings and industrial coatings. Exhibits very good metallic effect. Offers very good gloss and good water resistance. Provides rapid drying and good topcoat optical performance. Bayhydrol® UV 2689/1 by Covestro is an anionic, UV-curable polyurethane dispersion. It can be easily matted using common and can combined with Bayhydur® or other hardeners to formulate "dual cure" waterborne UV coatings. It is supplied as approximately 42% solids dispersion in water and can be thinned with water. Bayhydrol® UV 2689/1 is suitable for use in the formulation of industrial waterborne UV clear and pigmented coatings. Main applications are plastic- and wood coatings. High gloss coatings can also be achieved. The addition of 1.0 to 2.5 weight% photoinitiator relative to binder has proven effective for initiation. Recommended storage temperature is 5º-30ºC. It has a shelf life of six months.
