DISPERBYK® -2180

DISPERBYK® -2180 by BYK is a VOC- and biocide-free wetting and dispersing additive for stabilizing inorganic pigments and fillers in aqueous coating systems, inkjet inks, printing inks, and pigment concentrates. <br><ul style="padding-left: 40px;"><li> It is an aqueous solution of a polycarboxylate ether suitable for the entire pH range, including highly alkaline systems (pH > 11). </li><li> It provides deflocculation through electrosteric stabilization and is specially developed for inorganic pigments, fillers and ceramic pigments. </li><li> It provides optimal pigment distribution with significant reduction in mill base viscosity, enabling higher pigment loading, resulting in high color strength and gloss, high transparency with transparent iron oxides, good color strength when used in pigment concentrates, low haze values, small pigment particle size, and increased storage stability of coating formulations and pigment concentrates. </li><li>It is used in architectural, automotive OEM, refinish, general industrial, marine, protective, wood and furniture coatings. </li><li> DISPERBYK® -2180 is recommended for aqueous coating systems and pigment concentrates, particularly for mineral paints such as dispersion silicate paints, inkjet inks, pigment concentrates and slurries for printing inks.</li><li> Recommended levels for titanium dioxide is 1–6%, for inorganic pigments is 10–30%, for transparent iron oxides is 20–60% and for fillers is 3–5% (amount of additive as supplied). </li><li>It has shelf life of 36 months in unopened original packaging. </li></ul>

DISPERBYK® -2025

DISPERBYK® -2025 by BYK is a structured acrylate copolymer with pigment affinic groups. Acts as a high molecular weight wetting and dispersing agent for solvent-borne systems. It deflocculates pigments and provides steric stabilization. It offers high gloss and improved color strength. It provides a uniform electrical charge to pigment surfaces. It reduces viscosity, improves leveling and high pigment loading. It increases transparency and hiding power of the pigments. It shows an extremely good compatibility with different resin systems. DISPERBYK® -2025 exhibits no impact on curing properties in acid catalyzed and acid curing coatings. It displays no discoloration in baking coatings even at higher temperatures. DISPERBYK® -2025 is used in coil coatings, industrial coatings, wood coatings, automotive coatings and pigment concentrates. Recommended usage level is 5-12% for inorganic pigment, 1.5-2.2% for titanium dioxides, 20-40% for organic pigment and 40-60% for carbon blacks. It has a shelf life of 36 months.

BYK® -3450

BYK®-3450 by BYK is polyether-modified siloxane. It acts as a surfactant for aqueous printing inks, overprint varnishes, inkjet inks & aqueous coatings. It provides a significant reduction in surface tension. It offers improved wetting on very non-polar substrates such as polyethylene, polyvinyl chloride, polyethylene terephthalate and coated offset paper. It possesses good leveling and excellent spreading capabilities. It avoids increasing surface slip. and can stabilize foam. It is also used in thin-layered applications. It can be combined with polysiloxane such as BYK-333 or BYK-3760 to offer slip. It is designed for use in formulations that do not contain co-solvents. It can be used in architectural coatings based on styrene-acrylic, pure acrylate, PU-acrylate combinations, polyurethanes and alkyd emulsions. The dosage level of BYK®-3450 is 0.1-1% for printing inks & overprint varnishes, 0.1-1.5% for inkjet ink and 0.1-0.5% for architectural coatings based on total formulation.
