CERAFLOUR® 920 by BYK is a micronized organic polymer that has a matting effect. It simultaneously improves scratch resistance, metal marking resistance
and sandability. <br>

<li>It is used in architectural, industrial, coil, wood and furniture, protective, leather coatings, as well as in printing inks and overprint varnishes. </li></ul> CERAFLOUR® 917 by BYK acts as a scratch and abrasion resistance agent. Micronized polyethylene wax. Offers excellent shear stability. Possesses high melt viscosity at high baking temperatures. Can be added at the end of the production process and should be incorporated at a moderate shear rate. Recommended dosage level based on the total formulation includes 1-6 % additive (as supplied). Applicable for industrial-, wood-, & coil coatings as well as two-pack and air-drying systems. It complies with REACH, EINECS, TSCA, DSL, ENCS, PICCS, IECSC, AICS, KECI, NZIoC, and ECSI. CERAFLOUR® 964 by BYK acts as a degassing agent. It is a chemically stable, blooming-free micronized amide wax with a low melting point. It shows no negative impact on gloss and does not form a surface film that could affect optical properties. Highly suitable for polyester-HAA (beta-HAA) systems and systems that are cured at low temperature (LT systems). CERAFLOUR® 964 is used in powder coatings. The recommended dosage level is 0.5-2.0%. It is listed in TSCA and DSL. CERAFLOUR® 994 by BYK is an ultra-fine micronized amide wax. Offers improved sandability, improved scratch resistance and reduced gloss. It enhances pigment wetting, degassing, and electronic charge in powder coatings. It possesses meat release in can coatings. CERAFLOUR® 994 is used for solvent borne can coatings and powder coatings. Meets FDA § 175.105, 175.300, 176.170 and 176.180 regulations. CERAFLOUR® 950 by BYK is a micronized modified polyethylene wax (HDPE). It offers increased scratch resistance, matting and soft feeling effect. It is recommended for solvent-borne, solvent-free and radiation-curable coatings based on polyester, polyester/epoxide, acrylate, polyurethane and epoxides. CERAFLOUR® 950 improves surface slip and abrasion resistance in solvent-free, radiation-curable printing inks and overprint varnishes. Its recommended dosage is 1-10 % for liquid coatings, 0.5-2% for powder coatings, 0.1-0.3% for printing inks and overprint varnishes. CERAFLOUR® 991 by BYK is a micronized polyethylene wax based surface additive. It offers improved surface slip, and good anti-blocking properties. It provides improved rub and scratch resistance. It possesses improved soft feel effect and reduced gloss. It exhibits water-repellent properties. CERAFLOUR® 991 is designed for matting powder coatings, solvent-borne and solvent-free coatings and printing inks. It is suitable for food contact coatings and printing inks. Its recommended dosage level for coatings is 0.3-0.5%, for printing inks is 1-5% and for powder coatings is 0.5-2%. It has a shelf life of 24 months. CERAFLOUR® 927 N by BYK is easy to use, modified HD polyethylene wax additive. It improves scratch resistance and abrasion resistance. It provides good matting due to the excellent orientation of the wax particles. It is designed for aqueous, co-solvent-free coating systems. It is used for architectural-, industrial-, floor-, wood- and furniture coatings. Also used for aqueous overprint varnishes, co-solvent-free leather and artificial leather coatings. Its recommended dosage level is 0.5-6.0% for coatings, 0.2-2.0% for printing inks and 0.5-6.0% for leather coatings. It has a shelf life of 24 months. It is registered for REACH. CERAFLOUR® 916 by BYK acts as a texturing agent. It is micronized modified HD polyethylene wax / polymer mixture. It provides medium to coarse surface
texture. It is used for all types of solvent- and water-borne coating systems for industrial-, coil-, wood- and furniture coatings. Its recommended dosage level is 1-10% on total formulation. It has a shelf life of 24 months. Micronized PTFE modified polyethylene wax. Acts as an additive for improving mar, scratch and stain resistance of powder coatings. Offers improved slip and scratch resistance. Used in solvent-borne paint systems, and powder coatings. Approved by FDA under § 175.105, 175.300. Micronized PTFE modified polyethylene wax. Offers improved surface slip properties and scratch resistance. Provides improved water repellency. Exhibits improved metal marking resistance and black heel resistance. Used in solvent-borne paint systems, printing inks and powder coatings. Approved under FDA § 175.105, 175.300.

CERAFLOUR® by BYK are wax additives in various preparations, like water-borne emulsions and dispersions, solvent-borne dispersions and micronized waxes. The fundamental properties are derived from the chemical basis, the melting point and the polarity of a wax. Used in paper, powder, wood, furniture and industrial coatings. Some grades are suitable for solvent-free and UV curing systems.
