Borchers® Dry 0411 HS

by Borchers (Milliken)

Borchers® Dry 0411 HS by Borchers is a manganese neodecanoate (40-60%). Acts as a cobalt-free primary drier. Exhibits very good surface drying properties even after extended storage. Provides very good through-drying properties, thus enabling even drying of the applied film. The activity of the siccative metal is enhanced by its combination with an organic drying accelerator. It is used as a replacement for other primary driers, especially cobalt siccatives. Applications in either clear coats or pigmented conventional VOC-reduced air drying alkyd resin coatings, high solids coatings, and oxidatively drying coating systems and printing inks with reduced-VOC content. Highly recommended for wood coatings and general industrial coatings. It complies with FDA.

Borchers® Deca Manganese 8 HS

by Borchers (Milliken)

Manganese decanoate (50-70%). Acts as a highly effective oxidative drier. Promotes both surface and through-dry in oxidatively cured binder systems. It is used in combination with other primary driers like e.g. Borchi® OXY-Coat or Borchers® Deca Cobalt. Manganese is mainly used in pigmented coating systems and primers because its inherent color may cause discoloration in clear or light colored coatings. Applications in VOC-reduced and high-solids conventional architectural paints, wood coatings, printing inks and other industrial coatings based on resins that dry by oxidation.

Borchers® Deca Cobalt 12

by Borchers (Milliken)

Cobalt carboxylate dissolved in white-spirit containing less than 2% aromatics. Acts as a primary metal drier. Exhibits acceleration of rapid surface drying and, in combination with a secondary drier such as zirconium, barium or zinc, uniform through-drying of the paint film. It is based on metal salt (cobalt) of neodecanoic acid (neodecanoates). Cobalt catalyzes redox reactions and even small amounts lead to the dissociation of auto-oxidant hydroperoxides. Used in all oxidative systems, whether air- or forced-drying. Highly recommended for use in solvent borne and solvent-free architectural paints, industrial coatings, stains, varnishes, oil-based inks and artists' oil paints. Also, applicable for automotive coatings. It complies with FDA.

Borchers® Deca Zirconium 15 HS

by Borchers (Milliken)

Zirconium neodecanoate (70-80%). Acts as a highly efficient secondary drier. Improves through-dry in oxidatively cured coatings primarily by the formation of coordinative bonds. Zirconium exhibits better properties in terms of color, yellowing and stability. It is mainly used in combination with primary driers like e.g. Borchi® OXY - Coat, Borchers® Deca Cobalt or Borchers® Deca Manganese based driers. Applications in solvent-borne, VOC-reduced and high-solids coatings.

Borchers® Deca barium 12.5

by Borchers (Milliken)

Barium carboxylate dissolved in white-spirit containing less than 2 % aromatics. Acts as a highly efficient secondary drier. Barium improves through drying and is used as a wetting agent and extender. It improves gloss and prevents adsorption of the primary driers by pigments and extenders thereby increasing coating stability during prolonged storage. It is a metal salt of neodecanoic acids. Used in solvent-borne systems based on alkyds and epoxy esters that crosslink by oxidation. Highly recommended for use in coatings for general industrial- and industrial wood coatings.

Zirconium exhibits better properties in terms of color, yellowing and stability. It is mainly used in combination with primary driers like e.g. Borchi® OXY - Coat, Borchers® Deca Cobalt or Borchers® Deca Manganese based driers. Applications in solvent-borne coatings.

Borchers® Deca cobalt 12 (xylene)

by Borchers (Milliken)

Cobalt carboxylate dissolved in xylene. Acts as an accelerator. Exhibits acceleration of the film structure and curing of the resin binder by starting a polymeric chain reaction. Radical polymerization will be initiated as a result of rapid decomposition of the organic peroxides. It is based on metal salts of neodecanoic acids. Recommended for use in unsaturated polyester systems for coatings resulting in a shorter gel time.
