Ascinin® Anti Skin 0444 by Borchers (Milliken) is a phenol- and MEKO-free anti-skinning agent for oxidatively cured low VOC coating systems and pigment pastes. It is recommended to be used with Borchi® OXY-Coat cobalt replacement additives in solvent-based systems.<br> <ul style="padding-left: 40px;"><li>It controls surface dry retardation and keeps the film open longer to ensure deeper penetration of oxygen to lower film layers, which promotes through dry and improves flow properties.</li> <li>It improves the storage stability as well as eliminates excessive dry time retardation with phenolics or the toxicity of oximic compounds.</li> <li>Ascinin® Anti Skin 0444 is used in printing inks, clear or pigmented systems, high solids oxidatively cured coating systems and environmental-friendly coatings.</li></ul>

Ascinin® Anti Skin 1240 by Borchers (Milliken) is MEKO-free anti-skinning agent. It is suitable for oxidatively drying coating systems and pastes with reduced VOC content. It controls surface dry retardation and keeps the film open longer to ensure deeper penetration of oxygen to lower film layers which promotes through dry and improves flow properties.<br> <ul style="padding-left: 40px;"><li>It improves storage stability and eliminates excessive dry time retardation with phenolics or the toxicity of oximic compounds.</li> <li>Ascinin® Anti Skin 1240 is used in printing inks, clear or pigmented systems, solvent-based-, solvent-free oxidatively drying-, high solids paints, and environmentally friendly coatings.</li> <li>The recommended dosage based on alkyds are approx. 0.2-0.8% by weight on total formulation.</li></ul>

Ascinin® Special by Borchers is a mixture of a substituted phenol and a volatile oxime in xylene and n-butanol. Provides increased anti-skinning efficacy and offers increased spreadability. Exhibits good binder compatibility. It eliminates flow defects during film formation, resulting in smoother films. It helps in increasing hardness and gloss. It is used in solvent-borne paint systems which dry by oxidation based on oils, stand oils, urethane oils, alkyd resins, etc. lt is suitable for both clear and pigmented systems and wood oil lacquers. Ascinin® Special recommended dosage rate is 1-2%.

Ascinin® P

by Borchers (Milliken)

Ascinin® P by Borchers is a 40% solution of a substituted phenol in xylene and n-butanol. Acts as a phenolic anti-oxidant and anti-skinning agent. Exhibits good binder compatibility. Prevents lifting during over-coating and eliminates surface defects in baking paints. Improves the through-drying of paint systems which dry by oxidation and counteracts wrinkling and skinning. It retards initial drying, thereby eliminating flow defects and improving spreadability. Acceleration of through-drying improves gloss and film hardness. It prevents lifting during over-spraying. Applications in clear and pigmented lacquers and paints based on drying oils, alkyd resins and other oils, primers and baking enamels. Ascinin® P recommended dosage rate in coating system is 1-2% and in baking paints is 0.5 - 1.0 %.
