Alcophor® 827 by BASF is highly effective corrosion inhibitor in combination with zinc phosphate for waterborne and solventborne systems. Increases the anti-corrosive effect of pigments which form protective layers in the anodic zone. Improves the stability of anti-corrosive coatings manufactured with it, owing to its extreme low water solubility. Alcophor® 827 offers very good dispersability. Exhibits an outstanding stability against sedimentation. Its dosage level is 1-2% calculated on paints. It can be stored for 2 years. Alcophor® AC by BASF is a mixture of modified compounds containing tannin. Acts as a corrosion inhibitor in primers and one-coat paints. It eliminates the residual moisture from the paint by capillary effect. Suitable for use in anti-corrosive paints based on binders drying by oxidation such as epoxy esters, alkyd resins of any kind, linseed -stand oil. Alcophor® AC is used for corrosion primers, paints for agricultural machinery and car-body paints. It has a shelf life of 2 years. Complies with AICS, DSL, PICCS and TSCA.
