Synolac® by Arkema is a versatile resin portfolio based on alkyds, polyurethanes, polyesters, epoxies, and natural resins used in varnishes, solventborne, waterborne, high-solids, and UV-curable coatings. Applications include architectural OEM and refinishing, metal coatings, wood and furniture coatings, marine and protective coatings, and general industrial coatings. Bio-based grades also support construction industry needs.

Synolac® 9689 SD 65

Synolac® 9689 SD 65 by Arkema is a cycloaliphatic oil-free polyester. It exhibits good hardness, flexibility and external durability. It offers very good coverage with COV balance reduction. Synolac® 9689 SD 65 is recommended for use in coil coating topcoat applications.

Synolac® K32X

Synolac® K32X by Arkema is a short-oil, non-drying alkyd resin. It is used in conjunction with appropriate amino resins. It is also used as non-yellowing stoving enamel and plasticizer in nitro-cellulose lacquers. <br> <ul style="padding-left: 40px;"><li>It produces acid-curing lacquers with good pot life and cold-check resistance. </li> <li>Synolac® K32X is recommended for wood furniture and general industrial coating applications. </li> <li>It has a shelf life of 12 months.</li></ul>

Synolac® 271 X 60

Synolac® 271 X 60 is formulated using highly reactive amino formaldehyde resins in stoving systems, particularly for drum coatings.
