SETAL® 270 EHV WS-70 by allnex is an air drying long oil alkyd resin based on soyabean oils. Exhibits good color fastness, brushability, body and flow, good durability and good through hardening. Market applications of SETAL® 270 EHV WS-70 include architectural paints (finishes on wood and metal), for interior and exterior use, do-it-yourself paints, semi-gloss finishes, alkyd resin varnishes, wall paints. It is also used in boat & yacht coatings, structural steel paints and marine paints. SETAL® 173 VS-60 by allnex is a saturated polyester resin. It offers high hardness, very good adhesion & flexibility as well as good chemical- and water resistance. SETAL® 173 VS-60 is used in automotive paint systems (in combination with CAB 531-1), metallic base coats, solid color systems and primers. It has a shelf life of 545 days. SETAL® 173 VS-60 LC by allnex is a saturated polyester resin. It provides high hardness, very good adhesion & flexibility as well as good chemical- and water resistance. SETAL® 173 VS-60 LC is used in automotive paint systems (in combination with CAB 531-1), metallic base coats, solid color systems and primers. It has a shelf life of 545 days. SETAL® 21-1395 by allnex is a premium, high solids, chain-stopped alkyd in non-HAPs solvents. Offers fast dry with excellent gloss and good hardness development. Exhibits excellent exterior durability and color retention. It is suitable for use in the manufacture of coatings that must comply with VOC levels of 3.5 lb/gal or lower. SETAL® 21-1395 is designed to have good flexibility and adhesion. It is recommended for industrial air-dry, force-dry (~180°F surface temperature), bake enamels for metal, high solids maintenance and marine finishes. It is also used in farm implements and equipment. It has a shelf life of 2 year at temperatures upto 100°F. SETAL® 1601 WS-65 by allnex is a silicone modified, air-drying, medium oil alkyd resin. It has excellent outdoor durability and good drying. SETAL® 1601 WS-65 is recommended for colored and white decorative topcoats. SETAL® 50-609/50 by allnex is a rosin-modified, phenolated short oil alkyd resin based on mixed drying oils. Exhibits rapid dry, good gloss and a high breakdown viscosity. It has limited compatibility with aliphatic solvents and other alkyd resins. SETAL® 50-609/50 may be used to formulate anti-corrosive primers, primer-surfacers and fast-drying high-durability gloss topcoats. Primers based on this resin may be suitable for use under higher performance topcoats, such as 2-pack polyurethane. It has a shelf life of 12 months at 5-35°C. SETAL® 196 XX-65 by allnex is a medium-oil alkyd resin based on unsaturated fatty acids. Offers very fast drying and through drying properties, good yellowing resistance and gloss retention. Applications of SETAL® 196 XX-65 include general industrial fast air-drying finishes and stoving enamels, car repair, enamels for trucks, tractors and agricultural equipment. SETAL® 118 XX-60 by allnex is a semi-drying short oil alkyd resin based on dehydrated castor oil. Exhibits good gloss retention, very good durability and excellent pigment wetting properties. Offers good hardness, scratch-, adhesion- and impact resistance. SETAL® 118 XX-60 is suitable for low temperature stoving finishes and primers for metal (80°C upto 120°C). Used in clear and pigmented nitrocellulose and acid cure coatings for wood and metal. The standard shelf life is 545 days from the date of manufacturing. SETAL® 3250 by allnex is a semi-drying, oil-based polyurethane for general purpose industrial coatings. It exhibits excellent surface- and through-dry, excellent hardness and toughness. Offers excellent wear and chemical resistance. SETAL® 3250 may be used to formulate gloss, semi-gloss and flat clear timber finishes, clear floor coatings, paving paints, metal primers and topcoats. The shelf life of the grade is 365 days.
