Amorphous calcium aluminosilicate glass powder. Acts as mineral filler and extender. Provides high consistent brightness, tint retention and stain/scrub resistance. The glass chemistry results in chemical inertness, making LA glass resistant to blooming, blistering, or chemical degradation in harsh environments. It allows greater volumetric extension, has low oil absorption and can be easily dispersed. It is produced from post-industrial low alkali glass feedstock and is free from contaminants associated with post-consumer curb side glass. X-ray diffraction and scanning electron microscopy confirms that it is fully amorphous and contains no crystalline silica. Its particles are transparent, angular shaped with similar dimensions in the x, y and z axis when they are observed under a microscope. Recommended for use in water or solvent-based systems. Used in paints and coatings.
