Chroma-chem® 866-0533 by Vibrantz Technologies (formerly Chromaflo) is a BON-red pigment dispersion for solvent-based alkyd coatings. It is based on a unique medium-oil alkyd vehicle that provides excellent wetting properties. It is designed specifically for non-aqueous industrial coatings, maintenance coatings and in various wood coatings for OEM and special-purpose applications. It provides a wide range of hues, good durability and chemical resistance. It offers appreciable light fastness and slight no-bleeding to acid and alkali resistance. It shows compatibility with alkyds (air-dry, bake, silicone, melamine, urea), lacquers (nitrocellulose and ethylcellulose), chlorinated rubber, polyurethane and epoxy esters. It is controlled to a tinting strength tolerance of ±2% by volume. It contains a carefully selected blend of vehicle, pigment and surfactants to provide acceptance in a wide range of solvent-based applications. It possesses a low-aromatic, fast-evaporating and Rule 66-type solvent. Chroma-chem® 866-0533 has a shelf life of 3 years.
