SONGSORB® CS 329 by Songwon is a 2-(2H-benzotriazol-2-yl)-4-(1,1,3,3-tetramethylbutyl)phenol. Acts as a strong absorber of ultraviolet radiation in the 300~400nm region. Has a high degree of photostability - photochemical energy absorbed in the ultraviolet region is dissipated as thermal energy. Readily soluble in a wide range of organic solvents that shows low volatility during high processing temperature and good extraction resistance. It can be used in combination with phenolic & phosphite antioxidants, and HALS to optimize performance in outdoor use. SONGSORB® CS 329 is particularly suitable for light stabilizing in coatings, propylene, polyurethane and polyvinyl chloride. It is listed on AICS, DSL, IECSC, ENCS, NZIOC, ECL, EINECS, TSCA and PICCS inventories.
