Vinyl chloride-vinyl acetate copolymer. Exhibits excellent chemical (acids, alkalis and brine) resistance, strong adhesiveness, toughness and plasticity. Contains other polar groups as well and lacks odor & taste. Also exhibits high resistance to water penetration. It is mixable with PVC (polyvinyl chloride) paste. Strongly adheres to metals. Forms water resistant, odorless, tasteless, transparent, thermoplastic, heat-sealable coating films which are fire-retardant and self-extinguishing. Dissolves in ketones and esters. Highly compatible with urethane and melamine resins. Applications include wire coatings.
