DMPA® Special by Perstorp (PETRONAS) is dimethylolpropionic acid, a trifunctional compound of neopentyl structure containing two primary hydroxyl groups and one tertiary carboxyl group. It is a key raw material in polyurethane dispersion for coatings. It is only required in small amounts to create stable dispersions, resulting in excellent water resistance. It has medium particle size for improved flow through pipes and valves as well as high rate of dissolution. DMPA® Special is REACH compliant and TSCA listed.
