Acrylic polymer. Acts as a thickener (rheology modifier/ viscosifier). It is a direct alkali swellable emulsion thickener (ASE/ HASE), that thickens upon neutralization with a base like NaOH and KOH. Provides specific functionalities ranging from improved feel, body, texture, and suspendability of soluble ingredients to increased stability of formulations. Offers improved levelling, corrosion resistance, freeze/ thaw stability and excellent film properties. Reduces spattering during roller application, maintains gloss levels, resists viscosity loss and reduces paint preparation time. Compatible with clay-based, cellulosic and urethane associative thickeners. Applications include gloss latex, industrial, matt latex, semi-gloss latex, and water-borne paints containing acrylic latex, styrene acrylic latex, vinyl acrylic latex, etc.
