NISSO-PB (JP-200)

Supplied byNippon Soda- Last Updated on May 17, 2020

NISSO-PB (JP-200) by Nippon Soda is epoxidized polybutadiene. It is derived by polymerizing butadiene using a living anionic polymerization technique. JP -200 is formed by introducing an epoxy group through oxidation of the vinyl group of 1,2-polybutadiene. It has only partial epoxy introduction due to which it retains the plasticity and electrical properties derived from its 1,2-vinyl structure, which produces a setting material with characteristics different from those of general-purpose epoxy resins. Offers superior water resistance, chemical resistance, electrical characteristics, mechanical strength as well as heat resistance because its polymer structure is composed of carbon and hydrogen. NISSO-PB (JP-200) also offers high reactivity, excellent storage stability, high 1,2-vinyl content and various derivatives containing functional groups.
