EDAPLAN® 492 by Munzing is a VOC-free wetting agent and dispersant for aqueous coatings. It is recommended for the dispersion of organic pigments (e.g. phthalocyanine and azo pigments) and nanoscale transparent iron oxides and titanium dioxides. It can be used for the production of coating systems
based on polymer emulsions and water-soluble resins (air and oven drying, 2K
systems) as well as for the production of aqueous and glycol-containing, binder-free pigment concentrates.
- It is APE-, biocide- & solvent free non-ionic, solution of a high molecular weight copolymer with pigment affine groups in water.
- It stabilizes pigment dispersions, reduces mill-base viscosity, improves gloss, color strength, hiding power and prevents reflocculation.
- It is used in wood coatings and industrial coatings applications.
- EDAPLAN® 492 has recommended dosage level of 10 to 50%.
