Y-19634 Silicone Emulsion

Y-19634 Silicone Emulsion by Momentive Performance Materials is a low-VOC, functional silicone emulsion. It enhances hydrophobicity and durability. It can be incorporated either during pigment grinding or letdown stage under moderate mixing conditions. Y-19634 Silicone Emulsion can be used in interior or exterior waterborne architectural and industrial paints along with select adhesive and sealants.

• It increases water contact angle/water beading.
• It reduces surfactant leaching and coefficient of friction.
• It improves weatherability (reduced color fading and chalking) and block resistance.
• Recommended dosage level is up to 5% based on total formulation weight, ladder study is suggested to determine optimum dosage based on desired performance.
