SiVance® Diethoxypolydimethylsiloxane by Milliken is polydimethylsiloxane with terminal ethoxy group. It can hydrolyze producing terminal silanol group which can bind to organic polymer including acrylates, urethanes and epoxies to form water repellent coatings. It has been used as a component in coatings which are anti-fouling. SiVance® Diethoxypolydimethylsiloxane is used in coatings, inks and paints. Its shelf life is 1 year.
