Glycol Ether TPNB

Supplied byLyondellBasell- Last Updated on Sep 20, 2024

Tripropylene glycol n-butyl ether. Acts as a solvent as well as non-HAP coalescent. Is a colorless liquid with mild odor, a slow evaporation rate and a high boiling point. Its low odor makes it an attractive alternative to ester-alcohol coalescents for interior applications. Because it evaporates faster than ester-alcohols or phthalate plasticizers, paints formulated with TPnB show very good hardness development, resistance to dirt pick-up and block resistance. Used in architectural paints, industrial latexes, agricultural, electronics, textile and ink products.
