ESACOL® ED 18 by Lamberti is pseudoplastic, natural thickener for interior and exterior waterborne paints. It is a chemically modified polysaccharide derivative with delayed solubility. It offers good storage stability and a nice balance between sag resistance and leveling during application. It is characterised by a shear thinning profile and a good water retention.
- It shows a very high pigment compatibility and can be used in combination with other rheology modifiers in order to adjust the final rheology of the formulation.
- A specific surface treatment delays its hydration and enhances the ease of dispersion in water.
- It is specifically suitable for adjusting the low-shear viscosity of waterborne systems.
- The recommended dosage level is 0.3 to 0.6% of total composition.
- ESACOL® ED 18 has shelf life of 12 months.
