TIPAQUE BLACK™ SG-101 by Ishihara Sangyo Kaisha is an environment-friendly, IR-reflective black pigment. It is a chromium-free, neutral black pigment composed of calcium titanium manganese oxide (Ca, Ti, Mn)O3. It offers reduced warpage & deformation due to its temperature rise suppression properties and maintains true black appearance. It offers potential recyclability benefits through NIR detectability.
  • It enables deep black coatings with reduced heat build-up, while maintaining design flexibility and supporting cool roof and energy regulations without compromising color.
  • It is designed for heat-shielding applications.
  • TIPAQUE BLACK™ SG-101 offers excellent reflectance in the near-infrared region (780-2500 nm).
  • It reduces NIR absorption across a wide range of dark shades, not just pure black.
  • It is used in architectural/decorative coatings, automotive OEM coatings, general industrial maintenance and metal coatings.
  • It is listed with ENCS and TSCA.
