Capa® PROTX 3112 by Ingevity is a low viscosity, low molecular weight trifunctional caprolactone polyol, in which all of the hydroxyl groups are primary. It improves appearance and lightfastness in two component (2K) coatings.
- It is designed for use in surface coatings as well as the main polyol in very hard polyurethanes.
- When blended with other resins, the aliphatic backbones of Capa polymers support an increase in gloss and resistance to discoloration over time.
- Capa® PROTX 3112 is also used as a chain extender in polyurethane elastomers.
