Capa® 3031 by Ingevity is a very low molecular weight, trifunctional caprolactone polyol with primary hydroxyl groups. It is developed for use in surface coatings as well as the main polyol in very hard polyurethanes and a chain extender in polyurethane elastomers.
- It improves appearance and lightfastness in two component (2K) coatings.
- When blended with other resins, the aliphatic backbones of Capa polymers support an increase in gloss and resistance to discoloration over time.
- Capa® 3031 is suitable for high-solid coatings where both flexibility and high cross-linking density are required.
