METHOCEL™ F50 by IFF's Nutrition & Biosciences is a water-soluble, low viscosity hydroxypropyl methylcellulose (HPMC) thickener and surface modifier with medium substitution. It acts as a rheology modifier, binder, lubricant, film former, protective colloid and pigment suspension aid. It provides gelation, reversible gelation with heating and advanced rheology control. It offers improved adhesion, spreadability and homogeneity. It prevents friction through high lubricity. It possesses film properties such as high tensile, strength and elongation. It enhances workability and water retention for construction coatings. METHOCEL™ F50 is used in printing inks.
