TARGON® G 5 by ICL is a secondary retarder based on condensed phosphates. It is a white, fine, non-hygroscopic powder. It is suitable for premixed gypsum plaster. It must be used in combination with tartaric acid. It has a dispersing effect on the solid content of the plaster.
- It achieves constant setting and prolongs the treating time between cutting and felting.
- It exhibits very good retarding effect at the end of the setting process.
- TARGON® G 5 also improves the finishing treating qualities.
- The recommended dosage level is 0.05-0.3%, related to bonding agent.
- It has a shelf life of 2 years.
