Harcryl® 1228 by Harcros Chemicals is a unique, functional acrylic monomer composed of mono and di-phosphate esters of 2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate. The balanced ratio of monoalkyl to di-alkyl phosphate ensures easy incorporation into various polymer systems.
  • Its polarity enables applications in hydrophilic formulations.
  • Harcryl® 1228 contains 400 ppm of added hydroquinone as an inhibitor.
  • The phosphate functional group enhances adhesion to multiple surfaces, minimizing the need for pretreatments and simplifying the coating process.
  • It also improves corrosion resistance, reducing the need for additional inhibitors.
  • The acrylic backbone allows seamless integration into various coating systems.
  • It is used in industrial and metal coatings.
