Tego® Powder Aid D01

Tego® Powder Aid D01 by Evonik is a multifunctional, high molecular weight polymer additive for powder coating formulations. It acts as a synergist and makes the formulation easier to disperse during extrusion by promoting pigment wetting and effectively reducing melt viscosity. It is suitable for acrylic, epoxy, polyester, fluoropolymer and polyurethane. It leads to better degassing, aiding flow and leveling as the formulation cures and prevents pinholes in the coating. It optimizes gloss development and ensures better DOI (Distinctness of Image) on the coating surface. It offers versatile applicability in formulations with inorganic fillers, pigments and organic pigments including carbon black. It exhibits its strengths in HAA curing systems, with water being formed as a by-product. It enables the application of thicker coating films. It shows a comparable resistance to weathering, making this additive suitable for use in exterior applications. It manages overbake yellowing, even at elevated temperatures. It imparts positive properties without containing surface-active waxes and allows overcoating. Its recommended usage level is 0.5-2%. Tego® Powder Aid D01 has a shelf life of 24 months.
