SPHERILEX® EXP 0002-1 by Evonik is a filler based on precipitated amorphous (crystalline-free) silica with unique spherical particle shape and very narrow particle size distribution.
  • It exhibits excellent scratch-, burnish-, scrub- and mar resistance. It improves the mechanical resistance of waterborne coatings.
  • It has high transparency & high surface smoothness and very good washability.
  • It is ideal for thin film applications where smaller particle sized pigments are preferred to promote surface smoothness and higher 85° gloss.
  • It possesses low viscosity at high loading levels and very low binder demand & very low water and solvent demand in the grind process.
  • It provides strong matte or silk-gloss finish in architectural and wood coatings. It is recommended for solventborne decorative & floor coatings.
  • It has a recommended addition level of 1-10 %.
  • SPHERILEX® EXP 0002-1 has a shelf life of 24 months.
