SPHERILEX® DP-0112

SPHERILEX® DP-0112 by Evonik is a precipitated, crystalline-free amorphous silica. Designed for water- and solvent-borne architectural/ decorative, floor and wood coatings. Provides excellent mar and burnish resistance, improved durability, high surface smoothness, very good washability and scrub resistance. SPHERILEX® DP-0112 possesses a unique spherical particle shape and very narrow particle size distribution. Exhibits low viscosity at high loading levels very low binder demand and very low water/solvent demand in the grind process. Ideal for thin film applications or systems where smaller particle sized pigments are preferred to promote surface smoothness and higher 85° gloss. It is recommended at a dosage level of 3-10 %wt. SPHERILEX® DP-0112 has a shelf life of 24 months.
