Octyltrimethoxysilane. Dynasylan® OCTMO by Evonik is a monomeric medium-chain alkyl
functional silane. It has low volatility and viscosity which makes it easy to handle.
- Exhibits hydrophobicity on substrates and forms weather- and moisture-resistant bonds to substrates as well.
- It shows improved compatibility between pigments or inorganic fillers and organic polymers or solvents.
- It forms easy pigment (e.g. iron oxides or titanium dioxide) or mineral filler (e.g. ATH, MDH) dispersion.
