THIXATROL® AS 8024 by Elementis is a finely micronized polyamide rheological additive. It is recommended for the use in solvent-borne and solvent-free medium to higher polar liquid organic systems. It is suitable as a thickener or anti-settling agent in paints, coatings and other formulations.
- It increases viscosity & provides thixotropy and contributes to pigment suspension.
- It exhibits sag control without sacrificing flow and leveling.
- It controls penetration into porous substrates and does not normally react with system components.
- It has no influence on water-resistance of organic systems.
- It is non-yellowing (in the final formulation).
- It imparts excellent package stability and reproducibility.
- Recommended dosage level of 0.5-1.5%.
- THIXATROL® AS 8024 has a shelf life of 4 years.
